Vintage abalone shell necklace created early 1970’s by mid century jeweler and artist Jack Boyd of San Diego, California. This one of a kind vintage necklace has a abalone shell pendant encased by bronze with rivets going through the abalone to the back of the shell. There are 34 wooden beads and a hand made bronze clasp. Necklace measures 17” long from clasp to top of the pendant and from back of clasp to bottom of pendant measures 22 1/2” long. Pendant measures 2 3/4” x 2 3/4”. Jack created this unique necklace with a abalone shell he found on the beach in La Jolla, California. This necklace is in excellent vintage condition. No stamp and no signature.
