Vintage abalone shell necklace created late 1970’s by mid century artist and jeweler Jack Boyd of San Diego, California. This one of a kind vintage necklace has a gorgeous abalone shell pendant with overlay of bronze pegs and spores and a single orange bead underneath the bronze. The bronze is riveted through the shell in two places. There are 29 dark wooden beads and a handmade bronze clasp. The length of the necklaces not including the pendant is 19” and the pendant measure 3 1/2” wide by 3” long. Jack created this necklace from a abalone shell he found at La Jolla Shores Beach, California. There is no stamp and no signature.
